TX200 TRIGGER ADJUSTMENT MOD
Both allow you to adjust the 1st stage shorter and the Rowan has additional adjustability of setback and finger position, but neither has a lighter or crisper 2nd stage than the stock trigger with the longer screw mod In other words, all 3 options are about the same and very comparable to TX200 and Rekkord triggers I have tried. I currently have both the metal tuning trigger and the Rowan trigger in the LGV and LGU, respectively, but I did this mainly because I like to tinker with my guns. You will still have a long 1st stage which never bothered me much. I did this and got my trigger to 12-14 oz with a very crisp 2nd stage. The stock screw is too short and doesn't let you run the screw in far enough leaving the 2nd stage creepy and heavy. Anyway, the easiest fix is to changeout the first stage adjustment screw. If your the same Don from THAGC, I think I shot a match with you using my LGV. I have an LGU and LGV and have worked on both triggers. Thanks, DonHi Don, glad you like your LGU. How a gun made so well and from a company with such a great reputation could have such a cheap plastic trigger is beyond me. The LGU is not real hold sensitive and will shoot lights out. Had two HW97s and some other cheap springers. I have a TX 200 HC and have had one other TX200 HC and a standard also.
People who shot with me in FT matches can actually hear me slowly pull the trigger. With the long creepy trigger (plastic trigger single screw Hector mod), it actually forces me to be more deliberate and careful when executing every shot. I have no idea what makes my LGU shoot so well but I will accept the horrible trigger just as long as the accuracy is there. I have a HW97K that has a 8 ounce trigger that I love but always had disappointed me when it came to accuracy during field target competition. It goes to show you that a horrible trigger does not affect the performance (accuracy) of a springer. If I buy the replacement metal trigger from Krale or Rowan, will it make the trigger better?
